WHO: Boys and girls in grades 3-8
TIMES: 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
COST: $100 – cash or check payable to “Twinsburg Athletic Boosters c/o Baseball” - Take advantage of sibling discount - $50 off each additional player (from same household)

Join the Twinsburg High School baseball team at their 2nd annual Holiday Baseball Clinic! The camp will be directed by Twinsburg Baseball Head Coach, Jeff Luca. Current coaches and players will assist in the instruction and supervision during the camp.

Twinsburg standouts Scott Effross of the Chicago Cubs and Andrew Czech of the Washington Wild Things will join the fun on Dec. 22.

The camp will cover basic baseball fundamentals of the game including teamwork, fair play and the opportunity to have fun! Players should bring a hat, glove, bat and water bottle. Baseball pants are recommended, but not required.


2022 REGISTRATION OPENS DECEMBER 8

Twinsburg's 2022 Spring Recreational Baseball registration opens on December 8, 2021 and runs through February 28th. Late registrations will be accepted March 1-15 but subject to an additional $15 fee. No exceptions will be made after March 15.

Information about each age division is below:  

  • Instructional - Currently in Kindergarten or entering Kindergarten in Fall of 2022
  • Coach Pitch - Currently in 1st or 2nd grade
  • Juniors - Currently in 3rd or 4th grade
  • Minors - Currently in 5th or 6th grade
  • Majors - Currently in 7th or 8th grade
  • Seniors - Currently in 9th through 12th grade

Registration for the Majors and Seniors divisions will be open longer (until April 30th).  

*Practice and Game Plan for 2022 Season:

  • Instructional, Coach Pitch, Juniors, and Minors - practices will begin on or around March 27 with games starting May 1
  • Majors and Seniors - practices will begin in early May with games starting May 15 for Majors and June 2 for Seniors

*All dates are subject to change due to any COVID-19 concerns that may arise.


2022 REC TOURNAMENT TEAM TRYOUTS

JANUARY 22, 2022 & JANUARY 29, 2022

TBL will host tryouts for the 2022 Rec Tournament teams on January 22 and 29, 2022 from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at The EDGE indoor facility in Twinsburg.

Tryouts will be held for 8U Coach Pitch through 12U. More information regarding the tournament teams is here.

At this time, with the exception of 8U, parents will NOT be permitted to attend tryouts. One parent may attend for 8U only but masked at all times and remain in a designated area and socially distanced from others. 

Additional precautions may be shared in advance to ensure the safety of each participant and volunteer.

TOURNAMENT TEAM COACH APPLICATION

All applications to coach a 2022 Tournament Team must be received by midnight on December 10, 2021

Candidate interviews will be conducted on Monday, December 13, 2021 during the December TBL board meeting.

KNOCK-THE-RUST-OFF CLINICS

TBL is excited to hold its annual winter clinics for rec ball players at The EDGE. The clinics are designed to help interested players prepare for Tournament Team Tryouts. We will be providing limited instruction and all-important repetitions for those looking to ready themselves for Tournament Team Tryouts, or those who just want to get an early start to the baseball year.

Precautions will be taken to ensure the safety of each participant and volunteer. 

Players can attend one or all of the clinics. With the exception of 8U, parents will NOT be permitted to attend clinics. One parent may attend for 8U only but masked at all times and remain in a designated area and socially distanced from others.

This will be free to participants. Registration will be required as space will be limited.

2021-2022 TBL Board

We are always looking for new TBL board members. TBL is an all volunteer, non-city affiliated entity that manages the many different aspects that go along with providing a positive youth baseball experience for well over 1,000 children each year. Our board is a great group of men and women that meets roughly once a month.

TBL mandates that our volunteer head coaches take an online training course to become registered members of the National Youth Sports Coaching Association and also that they take an online concussion awareness training course.  Both courses are also highly recommended for our assistant coaches and any other parents that help out with their children's teams.
