"Twinsburg represents community baseball at its best. Their teams are consistently strong fundamentally and more importantly they play the game the right way; with respect."
Former Cleveland Indians & Current Toronto Blue Jays President Mark Shapiro
A WET START TO THE 2017 SEASON
Well, not quite the weather we were hoping for in April and early May. But with the forecast looking much better for the days ahead and our field crew chomping at the bit to go get those fields ready to play, we're all looking forward to seeing the baseball fields of Twinsburg filled with kids playing America's greatest sport. With the Opening Day festivities rained out on two consecutive Saturdays, we still want to recreate that special experience for the kids. We're looking at doing something special up at Liberty Park on Saturday, June 3rd. More details to come!
TIGER TRAVEL BASEBALL OFF TO ANOTHER GREAT START
Twinsburg's travel baseball program has enjoyed the best of both worlds for many years. Our teams are true community programs, comprised of all Twinsburg kids. Yet they've consistently competed at the highest levels against the top club teams in the area, who pull kids from all over. The start to the 2017 season has been no exception. Our 8U, 10U, and 12U Tigers all brought home championships trophies in their age divisions at the Hudson Spring Classic. The 11U Tigers won the North Ridgeville Shootout on five straight run rule wins. And the 9U Tigers went to the championship game in their first tournament out in Barberton.

TBL PARTNERS WITH THE POSITIVE COACHING ALLIANCE
In February of 2015, the TBL Board voted to partner with the Positive Coaching Alliance, a quickly growing national organization that works with youth and high school sports leaders, coaches, athletes and parents to help promote a positive, character building youth sports experience.
PCA offers a number of tools for all of the aforementioned groups.
The numbers of kids in America playing baseball from ages 6-12 is at healthy levels, but there has been a sharp drop off in the number of kids that continue playing after that point.
PCA is committed to helping coaches and youth sports organizations to create the positive type of atmosphere that leads to kids wanting to continue to play sports through their high school years.

4. The umpires are human
5. This is not professional baseball
We are always looking for new TBL board members. TBL is an all volunteer, non city affiliated entity that manages the many different aspects that go along with providing a positive youth baseball experience for well over 1,000 children each year. Our board is a great group of people that meets roughly once a month, and we'd love to add a few new good people to the board this winter. Email us at email@example.com if you have any questions or potential interest.
TBL mandates that our volunteer head coaches take an online training course to become registered members of the National Youth Sports Coaching Association and also that they take an online concussion awareness training course. Both courses are also highly recommended for our assistant coaches and any other parents that help out with their children's teams.
