"Twinsburg represents community baseball at its best. Their teams are consistently strong fundamentally and more importantly they play the game the right way; with respect."
Cleveland Indians President Mark Shapiro
OPENING DAY PHOTO GALLERY!!!!!
These seven kids are not only great baseball players, but wonderful young men. Every single one of them got their start in baseball playing in TBL. Every single one of them has a dad who helped coach them and other young kids the great game of baseball over the years. All of them have moms who cheered them on endlessly going all the way back to t-ball. They played in rec, they played in travel and they are about to leave us. These boys have since given back in many ways. Some of them ump, some of them help with travel tryouts, all of them have friends and siblings who played in the TBL that they've helped over the years. This is our little tribute to them, as they get set to officially leave Twinsburg baseball when they head off to college in the fall.
TWINSBURG TRAVEL BASEBALL OFF TO ANOTHER ROARING START
Coming off last year's breakout year for the travel program that saw the teams at all age levels experience all kinds of success, Twinsburg's travel baseball teams are off to another hot start in 2015. Our 8U Tigers, in the debut year for travel baseball at that age in the city, went out to Hudson and won the Hudson Spring Classic, going 4-0 and outscoring their opponents 56-5. The 13U Tigers also went out to Hudson, and also won their age division! And in their first year as a travel team, the 9U Tigers went to the championship game in the loaded Blue Chip Classic out at Victory Park, beating the Pittsburgh Diamond Dawgs in the semifinals. Congrats to all of our travel teams on a great opening weekend!!! Go Tigers!!!

TBL PARTNERS WITH THE POSITIVE COACHING ALLIANCE
In February of this year, the TBL Board voted to partner with the Positive Coaching Alliance, a quickly growing national organization that works with youth and high school sports leaders, coaches, athletes and parents to help promote a positive, character building youth sports experience.
PCA offers a number of tools for all of the aforementioned groups.
The numbers of kids in America playing baseball from ages 6-12 is at healthy levels, but there has been a sharp drop off in the number of kids that continue playing after that point.
PCA is committed to helping coaches and youth sports organizations to create the positive type of atmosphere that leads to kids wanting to continue to play sports through their high school years.

2015 TWINSBURG "STARS & STRIPES" TRAVEL BASEBALL TOURNAMENT
The 2015 Twinsburg Stars & Stripes Travel Baseball Tournament will take place starting on Thursday, July 9th and ends with championship bracket play on Sunday, July 12th. Spaces will be filled on a first come, first serve basis with a max of eight teams per division. We have also added an 8U (kid pitch) division this year.
Three game minimum, most teams will play one game either Thursday or Friday, with the top four teams in each division advancing to Sunday single elimination. Individual and team awards will be given to the finalists in each division, and concessions will be available at most fields.
This a very well run baseball tournament that we've been hosting for many years now. Most divisions usually sell out in the spring, so reserve your spot now!
To book your spot, for scheduling requests, or if you have any questions, contact Larry Carinci at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 440-821-6564.

THANK YOU TO OUR TBL SPONSORS!!!!
A reminder to all of our coaches, players and parents ...
1. These are kids
2. This is a game
3. Our coaches volunteer
4. The umpires are human
5. This is not professional baseball
We are always looking for new TBL board members. TBL is an all volunteer, non city affiliated entity that manages the many different aspects that go along with providing a positive youth baseball experience for over 600 children each year. Our board is a great group of people that meets roughly once a month, and we'd love to add a few new good people to the board this winter. Email us at email@example.com if you have any questions or potential interest.
TBL mandates that our volunteer head coaches take an online training course to become registered members of the National Youth Sports Coaching Association and also that they take an online concussion awareness training course. Both courses are also highly recommended for our assistant coaches and any other parents that help out with their children's teams.
